How to get a Mount for Cheap

Everyone wants to go fast, but you don't have the money to do it. What's a person to do? In this guide I'll show you some of the best ways to get a mount on a budget, and what to do if you want to spend a lot of cash.

You'll have to consider this when you're looking for a mount, because you can't have a good mount that's cheap quickly (unless you're very lucky). You can only pick 2 from the chart, so here is what you have to work with:

Good/Cheap

Finding a good mount that's cheap will not be easy. You're going to have to take time to find it. Here are the best ways of getting a good, cheap mount

Bounty Board - By doing bounties you get bounty tokens that you can trade in for mount tokens. 4 blue bounty tokens (Hunter's Prize) equal one top tier silver mount, and you need 32 of those to get the most upgraded mount. Each blue bounty token is 25 orange tokens

Note: you can trade 25 orange tokens for 1 blue token at the bounty trader NPC

So you need 25 * 4 * 32 = 3200 Orange Bounty tokens
It will take a long time to get the top mount, but it is possible if you do your bounties every day.

Fast/Cheap

You can find one, but it's not going to be good. You can pick the lowest mount up for 1 blue mount token, but it's not going to be very quick or good. But if you need a mount you can pick this one up in a day or two of doing bounties.

You can get a 40-60% mount within a week of doing bounties.

Good/Fast

This is going to be more expensive. You're going to need 128 mount tokens to get the top level battle mount, or a lot of gold to get a 90% or higher Aeon Mount.

Aeon Mounts

This is the top level 100% speed Nightwing that dropped from an Aeon Chest on Rosmerta. Someone bought it for 20 million gold. It is the only one on the server.

You can find lesser speed ones, that don't look as cool in the auction house. The one below is an 80% staff mount that was being sold for 600k gold on Arawn

Here are a couple other aeon mounts that either came from chests or were obtained long ago during events

Any of these types of mounts will be very pricey depending on their speed and rarity. You can get them by:

Opening Aeon Chests from the item store. Getting a mount from the chest is rare.
Buying a mount from a private seller.
Buying a mount from the auction house.

Battle Mounts

While you can get mounts from the bounty board to trade up for higher mounts, that takes a long time. The quicker way is to get mount tokens from buying Mystery Chests, buying the tokens from a private seller, or buying them from the auction house.

This can be expensive though because it takes 32 tokens to get the top tier of the lowest quality brown mount. It takes 128 mount tokens to get to the top tier highest quality silver mount. Tokens can sell for 100k each, so you're looking at 1.28 million gold to get a top tier mount.If you can afford it, this is a good way of getting the battle mount.
